As a native Californian, Fort Bragg is always a must visit to either escape the heat and enjoy cooler coastal weather or for a winter family getaway. We love taking our kids to here spend weekends at the beach, it’s even a very pet friendly town! We live in Northern California so it’s about a 4 hour drive but a beautiful scenic route passing through clear lake. The roads definitely get a bit windy when heading into Mendocino County through the Redwoods so if you have little ones that get car sick, prepare for that. We made sure to have ours look out the front window the whole time. We stayed at this gorgeous hotel, Noyo Harbor Inn which is tucked upon the hill inside Noyo Harbor with a perfect view of the harbor and famous bridge peaking through to the ocean.

We love that it is pet friendly so we got to bring our puppy along and they provided her own bed to feel at home. They even have a dog park on property with multiple gorgeous landscaped gardens to walk through as well. This property also has a delicious and scenic restaurant with an even better view of the boats sitting in the harbor and barking sea lions right in full view while you eat on the deck! The farm fresh food was outstanding for dinner and even better for brunch after spending a day on the Skunk Train which was a magical experience riding rail bikes through the Redwood Forrest!

Highly recommend visiting Fort Bragg, CA and booking Noyo Harbor Inn when you stay to soak in coastal relaxation, family bonding, natural wildlife, stunning views and delicious food.
